Cycling (Mountain Bike)
This team has one spot to fill with a female athlete.

Triathlon
Athletes are still required in the 14-15 and 16-19 age categories (male and female).

Soccer

Athletics (Track & Field)
This team will be chosen based on results from other designated competitions (ie. High School District and Provincial meets).  Athlete Declaration forms due in by June 15.

Synchronized Swimming

Archery
Team Selection scheduled for June 29.  Register by June 25 with Janette Wessner, 773-9583

Softball
Softball will be a team playdown held the weekend of June 27-29.  The winning team will represent Zone 3 at the Saskatchewan Summer Games.  Teams must register with Softball Sask. by June 1.

• Provincial amateur sport competitive program established in 1972 in response to sport groups' needs. • Games are held every two years, alternately summer and winter sports.

• Provides a major multi-sport competitive event permitting participation by athletes throughout the province.

• Provides a focus for growth/development of amateur sport: athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, volunteers at the zone sport level.

• Provides communities outside Regina and Saskatoon the opportunity to host a major sports event.

• Leaves host communities a legacy of upgraded sport facilities, experienced sport officials, and a corps of trained volunteers.

• Provides a provincial showcase increasing public awareness and support for amateur sport in Saskatchewan. • Divides province into nine zones (Regina and Saskatoon are each one zone) for team/competition purposes.

• Provincial sport governing bodies determine class and competition rules.

• Saskatchewan Culture, Youth and Recreation together with zone committees, sport organizations, Sask Sport Inc. and the Games Council cooperate to ensure a successful event. • Games funding from corporate sponsors, Saskatchewan Lotteries, Saskatchewan Games Council, host community, and souvenir sales.

• Largest amateur sporting event in Saskatchewan involving over 2,000 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
